Papps suck!

UGH, I'm so tired of NOT seeing Kris and Rob out and about. I wish the crazy fans (not to be confused with the great fans, like myself) and the papparazzi would leave them alone, so they could just have a semi-normal life. I can almost guarantee that neither one is into showing off. However, there were plenty of pix of Kris with oregano when they were together. So, one can only assume that she'd like to be able to hold hands or walk with Rob once in awhile, out in public.

Perhaps someone can write a "how to" on being a fan of KStew and RPattz? I'll volunteer :-)

OK, off that soap box, for tonight.

57 days till New Moon, but who's counting??

I <3 Robsten

However... my heart breaks that the paparazzi won't leave them alone. Kristen can't even leave a medical building without being stalked in the parking garage! I admire the blogs that I follow, because they are refusing to post trash pictures. I mean, we are all curious, most twihards are hoping they are together, but seriously... They deserve a life! Lots of evidence points to them being together. Why would Kristen stay with Rob at his hotel in LA when she has her own apartment, and her parents home there? Then again, where is the undeniable proof that she was there all night? Personally, it's going to take some PDA for me to entirely believe it (maybe at the Teen Choice Awards, one can only dream). Or, at the very least Rob or Kristen saying THEMSELVES that something is going on. All of the trash magazines posting castmates opinions, or family members opinions are just that... trash, in my book. I do have to say, that whenever they are together, their chemistry is palatable. Even at Comic Con interviews, when they weren't really talking to each other, you could feel some great chemistry coming from them. She might have fake kissed Taylor, but the friend vibe was all over that. Is it wishful thinking on my behalf? I hope not. But, whatever the case may be, I hope that they are happy, and I hope they can continue to wow us with great movies, whatever the outcome of their relationship is to be.

On another Twi-note, I'm so relieved that Nikki has been photographed in Vancouver sans Paris! I was so worried that he was going to drag her down, and take her away from her Twi-family. In spite of her saying that Rob was feminine, I really like her! Just like Rob and KStew, if she is happy, then I am happy for her. But, with all of the buzz about the tight knit family the cast was for the last two movies, I'd hate to see Paris take Nikki out of that equation, and possibly change Nikki for this film. She has a pretty big role coming up in Breaking Dawn. Summit has already shown that even if it is a very bad idea, they can recast easily.

Speaking of which... I'm happy for the cast that they seem to get along with Dallas Howard. BUT... I refuse to like her as much as I adore Rachelle as Victoria. Rachelle will always be Victoria, and I don't care of Howard puts out an academy award winning performance, she won't be THE Victoria. I wish Summit didn't have the cast by the balls, and they could say what they really feel. I have a feeling that we'd hear that they all thought this was WRONG.

Well, almost time for the Teen Choice Awards, and I have to make sure my phone is charged so I can get all the tweets. I'm thinking Twilight will go 12 for 12 on this one!

SumShit Entertainment Sucks!

OK, so I think I am going to take the advice of a fellow Twihard that I saw posted on another blog, and go see something else on 8/14 when Bandslam opens. I'll sneak into Bandslam just to watch the preview of New Moon, and then go on my way to see my non-Summit movie. I'd hate to give Summit a penny of my hard earned money. I'm still so disgusted about Rachelle being dismissed.

I'd like to know if Taylor Lautner's movie will be wrapped by 8/17. Didn't he just start shooting? He's in Eclipse quite a bit more than Rachelle would have been. What about Jackson's Girlfriend movie? Will that not overlap with Eclipse at all? Jackson is in the movie at least as much as Rachelle, if not quite a bit more. What about them filming some of the hardest and most emotional Twilight scenes early in the schedule to accomodate Cam's other commitment?

Rachelle has represented Summit and Twilight so beautifully, and faithfully. I'm disgusted that they could not come to some agreement to work with her. It certainly makes me want to believe there is more to their story than they are saying. They know the majority of fans are too rabid NOT to see New Moon, Eclipse and eventually Breaking Dawn. However, I won't pay to see other Summit movies outside of the Twilight Saga. I know that sounds a bit hypocritical, and selfishly it is. But, I do have to draw the line somewhere.

The fact that this tight knit, family of a cast has not spoken out about this proves how Summit keeps their talent wrapped up like nice little puppets. That is a shame, because this affects them as much as it does the fans, if not more.

I hope that Rachelle's legal battle against Summit is successful. I'd love to see her in Eclipse, and if I can't, then I'd love to see it hurt Summit in the wallet.

I'm still planning on listing my favorite quotes. Ive journaled them, but just haven't gotten them in front of my computer just yet.

Summit Entertainment Truly Sucks!

I'm truly heartbroken. I've been in a funk all day, since reading the news on Twitter this morning that they have recast Victoria for Eclipse. While Victoria is another character I hate, because she obviously wants my beloved Bella dead, I absolutely adore Rachelle LeFevre! She is not only the perfect Victoria, but she is just an outright awesome actor. She has been such a huge supporter of all things Twilight, being there for fans, supporting the movies and the whole franchise. This is just a huge letdown.

New Moon is going to be hard enough. Those of us diehard Team Edward members are going to be heartbroken for the majority of the movie. All the time, looking forward to Alice and Edwards return at the end of the film. It's not bad enough we have to say goodbye to the endearing Edi in this film, but now OUR Rachelle also. While Victoria will be in Eclipse, she won't be OUR Victoria.

Flashback to the fall of '08. I had never heard of Twilight. The weekend that the film opened, a good friend and I were looking for a movie to go see. Nothing much was appealing to me, and she said that she had heard a lot of talk about Twilight, and what did I think of vampire movies. I said I wasn't much into them, but was willing to give it a try. We saw it in, of course, a packed theatre. My reactions to this first viewing were that 1) it was a sweet and endearing love story, with just the right amount of action to not make it a total chick flick and 2) the casting was PERFECT. I couldn't think of another actor/actress I'd rather see in any of the roles. It's only been about 6 months now that I've found the books, and the movie has since become my favorite, because it brings the amazing characters from the book to life for me.

So, how can anyone think of taking any of the characters away from us? I don't care WHO they want to bring in. I don't care if they bring in the top of Hollywoods A list. We love these characters just the way they are!

I think the part that makes me the most angry is that Summit lied about it. They made it appear to be Rachelle's decision, when it clearly was not.

I'd love to say I would boycott Eclipse, but I think Summit knows that many fans cannot bring themselves to do that. I will however, see it with a very heavy heart. Each and every character in Twilight holds a special spot in every true fans heart. I just can't imagine embracing anyone else in any role. This was to be Victoria's biggest role yet. One that Rachelle EARNED by an amazing performance in Twilight, and what I would bet money will be another amazing performance in New Moon.

Summit Entertainment, I'm deeply disappointed. I will seriously think twice about spending money to see other Summit projects. Unfortunately, they're guaranteed to get my hard earned money for the remaining Twilight Saga movies. I'm too hooked to boycott.

New Moon The Movie

Although I cannot wait, and am frantically counting down, I know this is going to be a hard movie to watch. I know for a fact that I will cry when Edward leaves in the beginning of the movie. I've read the book 4 times, but have only read the WHOLE book twice. I find it very hard to read the parts when Edward is away.

I adore Taylor Lautner, and am relieved that he will be back as Jacob. But, I don't like the character he plays. Kinda like how I adore Nikki Reed, but hate Rosalie. Love Dakota Fanning, and know she'll be amazing in her role, but I know I'll hate Jane. I know this sounds a bit naive and even childish, but I don't like any character who is not supportive of the Bella and Edward romance. I really don't like any character that tries to bring harm to any of the Cullens! For me, that is the draw of the saga... the romance. If they portray Charlie as he is in the books, very anti-Edward, after they return from Italy, then I probably will stop liking him too. Even though I think Billy Burke is da-bomb.

I'm hoping to catch pod-casts from Comic Con this week. Oh how I wish I lived in SoCal to get to see it in person. I hope that Kristen and Rob can be themselves a little bit. Perhaps security will be better! I did look up and find that there will be a Comic Con in NYC in the spring of '10. THAT is one I can go to! By that time, Eclipse will be in post-production, and we should have dependable information on Breaking Dawn.

What will we do when Breaking Dawn is done? How will we live without the anticipation of another chapter in the saga? What will Stephenie be doing to keep us entertained? Of course we'll always have new movies from the talented cast. The Twilight franchise is already opening lots of doors for our favorite vampires, lol.

I'm journaling my favorite lines, and those I find most meaningful from the books. I've gotten through Twilight, and about 1/4 or so through New Moon. I want to blog them, but haven't had much online time lately due to work. Since I don't have any readers, there is no hurry, lol. But, I love writing, and don't mind doing it just for my eyes.

Last book of Breaking Dawn

I'm so surprised it's taking me so long to read it this time. Last time, it took 2 days, and that was while working. No, I don't read while I work (usually) but on work days, I have a lot less time to read.

I've been very tired, and it's hard for me to read when I am tired. I can go over and over on a page, and not pick anything up. Even if I have already read it. Actually, each time I read one of these books, I pick up on something I missed before. Sometimes it is something very obvious, and other times it's some little nuance that was easy to miss. These books are a lot more intense than I would have ever thought. I also think, like JK Rowlings, that Stephenie wrote each one a little more intense than the last, since her characters (or some of them anyhow, lol) and her audience aged between books. I think the Harry Potter books got a little more intense with each year, as Harry and his fans aged. Just my opinion, although I know others who share it as well.

I actually like re-reading books. Usually, I wait a few months, or even a few years before reading a book again. Not in this case. I haven't found anything that can keep my interest the way the Twilight Saga does. I think I'm trying to fill the gap between Breaking Dawn, and the New Moon movie. Even though I know New Moon is going to be as painful to watch as it was to read. Not that it wasn't an amazingly well written book, of course. But, I'm in this for the romance, and when Edward and Bella aren't together, I'm not happy, lol.

On the gossip front, I'm still getting tweets about the damn pregnancy rumor. It's so rediculous. It's nice to see the true fansites are mocking it. No true fan would ever even consider it.

OOH watching the Twilight movie, such a surprise... NOT and just got the like "Lion Fell in Love With the Lamb" line. Love it ever time!

Twilight

I haven't finished Breaking Dawn 4th pass yet, lol. But, I'm in the mood to write, so I'm thinking ahead to re-reading Twilight. I'm thinking of the things that I have in common with Bella. I HATE being the center of attention. I think Bella has that in common with Kristen as well, or is that Kristen has that in common with Bella, lol. Every interview she does, she plays with the front of her hair. She is so well spoken though... I regress. I also cry when I am angry. Obviously, sometimes when I am sad too. But, when I am angry, I cry. It betrays me every time, and makes me look weak, and I hate it. One thing I don't have in common is that I am much closer to my dad than I was to my mom. That was always a big regret of mine, but it's way too long of a story to get into here. My mom died in 2004, so unfortunately the time to get closer to her is long gone.

I moved a lot as a kid, and started in new schools often. I hated each change. I never fit in, unlike Bella. I have to admit to a bit of jealousy over how popular Bella became immediately. I guess in Forks, people are different. Not that I didn't make some friends at each school I went to, some of which are still my friends 20+ years later, but never was I an immediate hit like Bella. Then again, if I looked like Bella/Kristen, I'd have been pretty popular with the guys too.

I think that Catherine Hardwicke did a great job of setting Bella up in this first movie, to morph into the Bella of subsequent movies. Obviously when we get to Breaking Dawn, we're going to see a different Bella. I think that downplaying her beauty so that we can see it evolve into her perfect self in Breaking Dawn was masterful. I've heard people ask how they will do that, and to answer that all you have to do is look at the pictures of Kristen in mags, or watch her on shows like MTV Movie Awards, etc. She is just gorgeous, naturally. She had on screen make-up, obviously, in the movie, but not much else. With her natural make-up on, she is model gorgeous.

Well, I'm going to keep on through Breaking Dawn, so I can get back to Twilight. Counting down the days to New Moon on 11/20/09!

OK last post for tonight

My last post for tonight... I'm sooooo sick of all of the crazy crap appearing in the tabloids about Kristen, and Rob, and all of the cast for that matter. Let these people have their own lives. I mean, it's great to see their pics, and great to hear about their newest projects. But, it's crazy how things can spiral so out of control. I've gotten at least 5 tweets today about the absurdity that is Kristen being pregnant with Robs baby. Even if it were true, which I am 110% positive it is NOT... they are entitled to just a little bit of privacy. As a fan of the saga, I want nothing more than to see my Edward and my Bella together, in stories, in film, and in real life. I think they have an amazing chemistry, far beyond other movie couples. I think they are both amazingly beautiful, and look great together. But, I also think they are entitled to their own lives, and privacy about them. Each of them is going to have other leading men/ladies. Each of them is going to kiss other people on screen, and be seen in public with other people while they are apart working on other projects.

As much as I want to believe they are a couple, and want to see a happily ever after for them... until I see one of them, saying it, out loud (as Edward demands, lol), I don't fully believe it. So, seeing a magazine article where Rob's aunt is saying he needs to go back to merry ole England and settle down with some Brittish girl when he's 40 is pretty obsurd. A magazine article saying that Ashley thinks their romance will ruin future movies also pretty obsurd. I have no doubt that she never said such a thing. A magazine article saying that Nikki was so upset because she wanted Rob, and that she was going to console Michael Angarano was again, pretty damned obsurd. None of these people has ever confirmed this stuff.

I want to know what life on the set of New Moon, soon to be Eclipse, the Warrior (can't wait to see it with Ashley and yummy Kellen) Remember Me, and the Runaways is like. I want to see the funny pictures, and behind the scenes. I just want to see the truth, and be able to know it's the truth. I don't want rumors, made up crap, photoshopped crap and outright lies.

I think the younger stars of this series have done an amazing job of being respectable "kids". There are not pictures of them hanging all over each other, or other people, and drinking and doing drugs, and partying hard all over the internet or in magazines. So, I think the tabloids just keep trying to fish for trouble to feed the Twilight frenzy. We want to hear about Twilight, so they are making stuff up to give us what we want. I think that's how some of the 20 somethings got caught up in the Hollywood crap and wound up in trouble. Trying to be something they weren't, and trying to be seen, just to be seen. Just my opinion, but isn't that what blogging is all about? OK, off that soap box.

Why the title...

I saw something on UTube about what Twilight fans want to be called. It was Nikki Reed and Kellen Lutz reading the most popular fan names. I think it was an MTV poll. Anyhow, the ones that I liked the most were Twihards and Fanpires. So, I chose to be a fanpire.

So... the characters... who is my favorite. As far as the core characters (who I consider to be Edward, Bella, Jacob, the rest of the Cullens and Hales, Charlie, and the bad vamps), I, of course, love Edward and Bella. But, Alice is by far my favorite Cullen, throughout all 4 books. She is just so adorable! There is not a mean bone in her body!

I don't like Rosalie. I think Nikki Reed is great, and plays a convincing role. But, in the books, I just don't like Rosalie, because of how she treats Bella. I also don't like Jacob. Again, nothing against the adorable and talented Taylor Lautner. Jacob isn't right for Bella. Edward is her soulmate, and that is very obvious from very early on. Jacob feels the need to save Bella, but she wouldn't need his brand of saving if he wasn't always trying to put her in danger. He is a hypocrite. He tells Charlie about her motorcycle, and then first chance he gets, wants to take her riding again. It's great that he loves her, but I just don't agree with his motives, or his actions. Edward tries not to love her, because he thinks he's bad for her. He fears for her, above himself. He is always just trying to do what is best for her. Trying to keep her from danger. Now trying to put her in danger so that he can save her from it and appear to be a hero. Obviously, I don't like the bad vampires at all. I think they are played well in the movie. I've seen Rachelle a lot on the internet, and think she is just awesome. I wish her character was after someone other than Bella in the story, so that I could like her more, lol.

So, beside Edward and Bella, like I said Alice is by far my favorite. I love how she has taken being annoying to such a new level, lol. I love in the books when Edward teases her (you'll see my favorite quotes in future posts)! I also adore Emmett. I like how he teases Bella, but obviously really cares about her too. Jasper is awesome! His ability to affect moods is interesting. That is one power that I'd love to have. Carlisle and Esme are great "parents". They obviously love their family, and each other. I think the way they embraced Bella into their family, from the minute Edward fell in love with her was heartwarming. It was obvious that they cared much more about the happiness of their adopted son, than about their own safety. They were willing from the beginning to do whatever it took to make them happy. To move on even, if it meant Edward and Bella's happiness.

I'm hooked on Twilight

I think my obsession with Twilight is truly over the top. I'm an almost 42 year old woman. I don't have kids that I had to buy and screen the books for. I saw the movie, which I liked. I didn't love it. I didn't think much of it, at the time. But, then my roommate left the first book laying around the house. I picked it up and read a few chapters. I put it down, and still didn't think much of it. Then, I picked it up again, and got far enough into the book to get myself hooked. Now, I'm reading Breaking Dawn, for the fourth time. I've read all 4 books 4 times, and seen the movie another 10 times, probably. I now LOVE the movie, because of my love for the books. The movie puts faces to the people in the book. I think it's brilliantly cast, and I couldn't imagine anything changing in it, except possibly being a bit more like the book. I just didn't think it was the most amazing movie of all time, until I read the books, lol. I didn't think this was my kind of story. I was pursuaded by a friend to see this vampire movie that was getting a lot of talk. I didn't even remotely think I was going to like it. I'm a romance reader. I had never read a vampire book in my life. I tried to read some Anne Rice when I was in highschool because so many people were talking about them. I couldn't get past the first chapter. So, I never expected to give a damn about Twilight. I had never even heard of it, until I saw the movie. I didn't even know it was a book until after the movie. My love of it certainly took me by surprise.

My favorite book in the saga is Eclipse. I think that is the one that explains the characters the most. Many of their stories are explained. I actually started to like Rosalie in that book. When she sat down with Bella and told her story, and poured her heart out about her insecurities, and her wish that she could have stayed human, I actually felt like I understood her. Since I recently read the partial draft of Midnight Sun, and found out that Rosalie wanted to kill Bella to protect the family secret, I don't like Rosalie at all anymore. I also loved Breaking Dawn. There are a few parts that I think are just a little over the top, even for a vampire story. But, overall I think it's a great book.

I hope this isn't the end of these stories. Even if the Edward and Bella romance has come full circle, and we've heard all we need to about them... there are so many other characters that could be explored in future books. Stephenie Meyer is such a talented and creative author. I hope she will consider either future books related to this series, or a similar series.

I don't know exactly why I decided to blog about this. I think it's because I'm so obsessed that people who know me think I'm truly crazier than originally suspected, lol. I don't know exactly who to talk to, since I haven't found anyone quite as obsessed as myself. So, I can talk to myself here in a blog, right? I'm thinking I can come here and give my opinions, ramble about the books, about the gossip, about how much I can't wait for the next movie, etc. and my friends don't even have to know how much I am obsessing. I also planned on blogging out my opinion about the books as I read them again, which I will start again on Twilight not long after I finish Breaking Dawn. I was planning on making a list of my favorite quotes and passages.

So, I might blog more, I might lose interest, I just don't know where this is headed.
